On the 11th of October at the Yomiuri Shimbun Hall, Osaka, Enterprise Ireland began the first of two Ireland Study Abroad Festivals. Six 3rd level colleges and ten language schools from Ireland participated in the festival. Throughout the day visitors talked to representatives from the colleges and schools as well as alumni to get advice on studying in Ireland. Two lucky students won study prizes to Ireland, sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, Tourism Ireland, National University of Ireland, Maynooth and Dublin City University Language School.

Following on from a very successful festival in Osaka, on the 13th of October, the Tokyo festival was held at the Yomiuri Shimbun Hall in Otemachi. Visitors once again had the opportunity to talk and ask questions about studying in Ireland but also to taste authentic Irish food and enjoy live Irish music and dancing. To finish off the festival with great excitement, two more lucky students won prizes to travel and study in Ireland sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, Tourism Ireland and University of Limerick and Language College Ireland.
